AISU UP President Adityaa Chaudhry Condemns Chaudhary Charan Singh University VC Over Inefficiency of Exam-Related Work

[Baghpat, 15/11/2023] — Adityaa Chaudhry, President of the All India Students’ Union (AISU) UP, has issued a scathing condemnation of the Vice Chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut, citing severe inefficiencies and negligence in the current examination management system. In an urgent letter addressed to the university’s VC, Chaudhry expressed deep concern about the jeopardized futures of hundreds of students due to what he describes as autocracy, inefficiency, and negligence within the examination process.

The subject of the letter, titled “Regarding the future of hundreds of students being on the verge of becoming bleak due to the autocracy, inefficiency, and negligence of the agency currently doing the examination related work,” outlines the gravity of the situation at hand.

Chaudhry highlighted several critical issues that students are facing, including:

1. Obstacles in Exam Form-Filling: Students are encountering difficulties in filling out examination forms due to the non-display of subject codes in the bank examination form/main examination form for graduation/post-graduation. Despite these challenges, the agency responsible seems unresponsive to student concerns.

2. Back Forms of UFM: The back forms for UFM (Unfair Means) have not been made available, causing significant problems for students. The lack of a solution in this regard is adding to the challenges faced by students and colleges.

3. Complexities in Exam Form: The complexity of the examination form is causing issues, especially for students from rural areas. Unjustified requirements, such as uploading high school, intermediate, and graduation mark sheets, are not only complicating the process but also leading to additional charges by cyber cafes, indirectly exploiting students.

4. Redundant Document Uploads: Chaudhry questioned the necessity of re-uploading migration certificates during the examination form process when these documents were already submitted during the admission process. This redundancy is causing unnecessary hassle for students.

5. Helplines Unavailable: Contact details provided by the university regarding examination form queries are either closed or out of coverage. The helpline provided by the agency is reportedly ineffective, with delayed responses to emails and no satisfactory solutions. Chaudhry calls for a dedicated complaint portal for timely resolution of examination-related complaints within 24 hours.

6. Data Leakage: The President highlighted a serious case of data leakage involving approximately 3.5 lakh registered students during the admission process. Despite this breach, no substantial action was taken against the agency, leaving students to bear the consequences.

7. Subject Code Issues: Some students are experiencing challenges in accessing subject codes for the annual back examination form, creating incomplete forms and uncertainty about the examination process.

Chaudhry concluded his letter by urging the university to establish a student-centric problem-solving system within colleges and to investigate the reported inefficiencies and negligence of the agency promptly. The All India Students’ Union (AISU) UP expects swift action from Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut to rectify these issues and ensure a fair and efficient examination process for all students.
